Meet the Doctors
Anthony Lombardi, D.D.S., B.S.
Dr. Lombardi graduated from the prestigious Loyola University in 1982. He later graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School in 1986. His philosophy of practice is to provide the highest quality of care for our patients. Dr. Lombardi is a Joliet native & over the last two decades, he has built a stellar reputation in the dental community. Dr. Lombardi and his wife Sheila live with their 5 boys in Coal City. Dr. Lombardi practices with state of the art procedures & equipment. The practice he has built over the past two decades has set new standards for excellent quality of care. The facility offers televisions & stereo equipment for your relaxation & viewing during dental visits.
Dr. Sheppard, D.D.S.
After graduating with highest honors from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, Dr. Kimberly Sheppard completed her post-doctorate training in periodontics, also at the University of Iowa. Dr. Sheppard’s specialties include dental implant placement, bone and soft tissue grafting, the treatment of periodontal disease, and an array of other services. Dr. Sheppard has always prided herself in her excellent level of patient care and continues to run her practice with a patient-centered philosophy of care.
Dr. Griffin, D.D.S.
Dr. Bonciel Griffin graduated from Albion College. She attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and then later attended a two-year residency at Howard University College of Dentistry, where she received her Certificate in Orthodontics. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. John P. Lavieri, Jr., D.D.S.
Dr. John P. Lavieri, Jr. was born in Chicago and grew up in the suburbs. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He went on to receive both a Master of Science degree and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University of Chicago. He completed a four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He served as Clinical Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loyola until the dental school closed. He now lives in North Central Illinois.
Dr. Shawn Sydlowski, D.D.S.
Dr. Sydlowski attended the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign and later attended University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry where he graduated in 2001. His favorite aspect of dentistry is making a connection between patient and doctor where the patient is actively involved in discovering and determining the appropriate treatment. He enjoys most patients that have been away from the dentist for a long time or extremely dental-phobic patient. Explaining condition/procedures in a way patients can understand is his forté. Dr. Sydlowski is always happy to take time to answer questions. In his spare time he enjoys cars, bicycling and is pursuing certification as a cicerone. He very much looks forward to starting a family with family with his fiancé, Tiffany. They reside in the Starved Rock area.
